back from this site a week ago, close to town and buses which was good but the not so good the gents toilets smelt in the urines and the hand driers couldn't dry a drip and the whole toilet block is very dated, and why people got 8 berth motorhomes when there's only 2 adults and caravans 6 berths. I don't understand why

What did the warden say when you raised the issue of the problems with the facility block?

Eight berth MHs? Really? Anyway, I guess it's because they choose to. It is allowed.

The washblock certainly needs an overhaul, I thought it was in a much worse condition than previously. As for two people in a big van, it doesn't bother me. We were next to a brand new 100k plus motorhome on our last visit, but I'm quite happy in our old van! wink

edit TW  I wrote about the state of the washblock in a review, so have others. The CC rent the site, I don't know if they even own the facilities? I decided not to use them at all this time.

Relief wardens have as much a duty of care as the regular ones, slf. Did you actually report the issue and have you contacted CC's sites department yet?

It really isn't for us to judge others and say they have no need of a certain unit. We cannot know people's circumstances and it is totally their choice, need or not.

Cheers, Brue. I haven't visited the site this year but I know the facilities were small, old and tired.

Unlike Uttoxeter and Exeter racecourses, the facilities block at Warwick is done out in standard CC washroom livery as I recall so I guess CC must have had some input to it.

tis the season to be jolly...

Have you not got on board facilities? Do you not use them, why not? Why buy onboard facilities and not use them?

    Live & let live.

    Yes, goodwill to all.

Each to their own. Who cares whether someone camps in a bus or a tent?

It's not on to identify site users on here, unfortunately I recognise the details. You should respect the privacy of others to use the site.

I would think Warwick might be one of the few sites that can accommodate a huge motorvan. After all on race days they get a huge HGV onto that tarmac area, which opens into a large screen. Makes sense to me, if it fits they have as much right as anyone to the pitch. Our van is a 7.3 metre 4 berth and only ever accommodates the two of us. So wasted space and extra diesel to tow in some people eyes, but we like it.

A few years since we were there but the toilet block was pretty basic but usable. No idea why the smell or whose fault it was, it could just be the plumbing.

As for them motorhome it is simply not for us to judge how other people camp. If they like it and can afford it then who are we to say they should have something smaller.

Yes, Mr slf, we all have our opinions of people. I'm so glad you agree that we can each make our own choices but why do you feel the need to criticise others for exercising their right of choice?

I am afraid I can't agree with you slf. Putting the information in the way you did, "not blaming them, RVs then Mr tin everyone has a choice but WHY I know but there's really no need," and shouting why, is most certainly a criticism in my opinion.
