Late availability
There seems a lot of available pitches for the coming weekend ( 23rd Dec ) perhaps if the prices were a bit more realistic there would not be so many. What do other members think ?

Even a honeypot site has availability of 8/7/5 pitches on 23/24/25.
The fee for a non serviced HS pitch is £34.90 on those dates. Last time we were there it was £21
Where we spent last Xmas on a fully serviced HS pitch with swimming pool and leisure facilities is only £23 this year, non CC. That is a £4 per night uplift for Xmas over winter season fees.
We are in the honeypot area over the holiday period and might stay overnight, but we can get a hotel with breakfast for £30 for the 3 of us and no increase in fuel usage.

Maybe it is just not popular to go away at Christmas hence the available spaces. The following weekend for new year there is hardly any availability especially on NYE so I do not think its a cost thing just more people staying at home with family etc. for Christmas.

And it will only get worse in 2017 on most sites, with the prices going up and the peak periods extended yet again. Soon there'll only be peak period prices all the time that sites are open.

I agree astonishing prices

Why not extend the late availability section to include weekdays. Would be a great help to those of us who travel extensively. Surely after spending so much on the computer system they could have built in basic needs. However with the prices now charged cc becomes our last option.

Whilst I agree £31.50 is quite high I would challenge you to find any other sort of accommodation over the Christmas period for less. I know you are supplying your own sleeping and cooking facilities but even a premier inn are £70 per night for just a room i.e. bed and en suite (just checked price on line) so compared to that its not too bad is it?

Given the electricity most people will use over this period the club will need to make sure it can cover this. Another point might be the weather forecast with severe gales forecast I think a lot of people might have had second thoughts and cancelled.

Exactly where is the Late Availability tab on this new improved website? I can't find it, so it must be my fault!
