Disappearing Reviews?

Some of the reviews I have done for CL sites seem to have disappeared? My profile states that I have only done 16 reviews, I am sure it was up in the 30's prior to the new website launch. Is there a cut off date for transferring data on reviews onto new website?

I am concerned, because I like to leave a review to assist CL owners with their business, and to help fellow members make an informed choice about where to stay, much as we use the reviews of others to help us choose.

Has anyone else not had all their reviews transferred to new website?

Lots of us have lost reviews! I had 79 but now only have 58! And to add insult to injury they appear randomly and not in date order. frown

    Read our many wonderful reviews!

And it appears we now have to add links every time we post a 'signature' whereas before I could just copy and paste it.

I too have seemed to have lost a lot of reviews. I know for a fact that I've posted over 120 and my profile is only showing 68. Have the rest been erased from the sites that I've reviewed?

My OH always reads reviews when considering visiting a site. Having said that she says she would only read reviews for that season.

I guess storage had to be a factor the CC has to take into account in many areas of this forum when updating it.

I like to read reviews.  Vital with CL's and non CC sites.  I noted somewhere that Skybarn says they are random and not in date order.  Obviously the latest ones are most relevant but good to be able to go back at least a season or two for a random read.

I've also lost loads of reviews and helpful scores.  I tried to post a review for Fisher Field CL in Suffolk and it wouldn't let me as I had previously reviewed when the site first opened.

That seems bizarre as you may have praise to add or detrimental comments since last visit.  Vital for others making a choice between similar sites.

Just checked out a review on a CL, not seen one for a Club site so not being biased, lovely review, posted today at 1503.  Doesn't connect to site, in fact doesn't give name of site surprised.  Not much help to me looking for inspiration yell

Had some more time to play on the review I have mentioned.  Clicked on what I assumed was site name, third along the top starting Club Together.  Bought up lots of reviews but still no site page, but a button to take you there.

Clicked on it, says awaiting photo from CL, could well be, but a new photo from the old webpages.

Not easy to identify amenities as no dog, WC, showerhead etc. just bullet points, takes longer to decide if it's for you.

Have to agree that CL's seem to have been really short changed with this 'upgrade'.  They are only allowed to have CC members so this is their showcase sealed.  Rating titles have been amended and good for families has gone.

As a CL owner, we are upset too. We have had consistent good reviews over the years and they have left us with five. Also they have changed our pictures. They were not taken by us, we can identify who took them, nothing wrong with them, but we were having building work done and you can see it on the edge of the photo. Not one I would choose. Its hard enough as it is, keeping afloat, but we don't think this helps.

Might be worth you copying your post into the ask the expert thread that is running to highlight the issues with the revised website.

Add your website address too, so at least members who will support you through visiting can at least see what you have to offer.

    Your website:

    www.manorbungalow.co.uk

Agree you CL owners have been screwed over by the failings of the CC in the debacle that is the new CC website.

You have even invested in winterising your pitches with turf reinforcement.

You deserve better from the obvious non caravaners at Grimstead Towers tongue-out

This is what I see for a CL near me. You have to move along the horizontal line/bar to see reviews. I can click under reviews and read them. I don't know whether further reviews are missing?

     Brue

I have just followed the link you posted and I could see the read review button to the right of the screen but then I am using a desktop computer?

On the wider issue of reviews seemingly having been Deleted User. The same has happened to Club site reviews when a decision was made to remove all reviews older than a certain date. I accept that might not be as crucial as CL reviews. My review count has gone down from something like 70 reviews to about 16. If it's of any help a lot of CL's have reviews on UKCampsite and they go back usually a few years.

I have lost lots of reviews too. I agree and also think the CL ones are important since they receive less volume. I can understand CL owners being upset. I often look at ukcampsite for searches and reviews.

Thank you KeefySher and thank you for spending the time to look at our site. The HO is closed until the 3rd January but an email has been sent and hopefully it will be changed. We are sad that our reviews have gone missing, luckily we copied most onto our website, but it doesn't help potential new visitors.

No worries. I had posted on the ask the expert thread in respect of yours and one other CL before that thread was closed.

Hope you get satisfaction from CC.

A popular CL we have used in Cornwall which only had a handful of reviews has now lost all of them. I hope the restoration of CL reviews is now a priority.

I've just tried to leave a review for Skybarn where we stopped over Christmas. ( Nobby no mates we were. The whole site to ourselves.  )

I thought we ought due to reviews going missing, but it says I cannot leave one as I have already done so.

This being the case I expect you still have our original review Nicola.

Thanks for the lovely peaceful Christmas.

    See you again soon.
