That's better. Always pays to say what you mean.

Given we are going to get a new forum soon. It is a bit unrealistic to expect resources to be put to sorting out the problem on this dinosaur. As I very rarely switch on my windows lap top, except to use my OS mapping software, posting photos will have
to wait until then. I did use it for my avatar photo and that was far from straightforward.0 -
We are When?

Just a minute - I'll go search for my crystal ball. We're constantly being told 'soon' but none of us is sure what 'soon' actually means.

As I have said before using a Windows laptop to add photos to a story is pretty simple so is it not worth firing it up now and again?

If I do David I will have to advance plan, as every time I connect to the internet, after a few weeks of non use, it wants to load multiple updates which takes an age. I think my mapping software is going to be available on a Mac soon, at the moment it is only available as an app on the pad. If that happens, when this lap top expires it will not be replaced with a windows machine.

We appear to have a new forum. At least it looks different. The cover picture shows a dinosaur PC running Windows.
1). I still can't upload a photo.
2). I still can't edit my phone number.
3). The system still relies on obsolete Adobe Flash.
The management "team" is supposed to be working for us, or is it working for the management?

Apart from the smell of fresh paint, the first thing I encountered was an error message when clicking on the 'further information on managing cookies'.
The loading of pages seem positively glacial.
I have attempted to insert a photo for test purposes on a Macbook.

If I want to post a pic on Facebook I just select it from my pics folder, it uploads and is reduced in size as it uploads.. Same applies to the Autosleeper forum..
If it isn't as simple as that on the CC forum I really don't wan't to post pics so much to be bothered messing about resizing them, I cant even remember how to do it.....
Perhaps someone has a simple solution ?

I notice that on this new site you can click on a pic and it will appear larger. Now it will be interesting to see what size you can go up to and still see the whole picture. For instance the picture Cyber has posted comes up as too large on my screen as i can only see the left half of the castle.

Testing posting a photo on iPad.
Can CC please confirm that you can post photos straight from an iPad, without using a host website?
Can you use IPad smileys without the previous problems occurring?🐵🙈🙉💥💔

My hope is that it will be easier to tweak any problens with the new site than it was with the old. Sorry I can't really help with apple products as I dont have one, but please report any problems so that the team at E.G. can see. Please keep posting your experience of the site so that issues can be addressed.

My image of the Castle was 640x480 @ 53K file size. If you right click and open in new tab, you can see the full size image. Portrayal within the thread I would guess to be limited to 430px width, like the old site.

The first image has just disappeared? And now it's back ?
Seems to work if you get the file size right
Posted direct from my desk top which is a vast improvement. Also have a working Spill Chucker
My thanks to all involved with the upgrade.

Don't know if you noticed VM9
But If the image is bigger, when you open it to view larger (in my picture ) you have slider bars to view it

I have managed OK with the 5 photo upload button at the bottom of the compose a reply. I downloaded an image resizing app. The default on this was 800 pixels wide by 600 high, so I left it at that. You simply select your photo from your photos, process it and re-save it at the new size. Takes about 1 min. The original remains unchanged. You then just add the resized photo using the button.
What I can't get to grips with is adding one within the text using the icon next to the smiley. This asks for a source . I tried just putting photos but this does nothing. I assume it wants a full directory address, which I have no idea how to do on the pad.
