M6 Service Stations

I know there's a sticky dedicated to service stations but it's difficult to trawl through 31 pages in the hope that there's some relevant information.

On Saturday the wife and I and our two irish setters will be travelling from North Wales to the Chapel Lane CC site via A55/M56/M6. Much as I'd like to complete the journey in one, being of a certain age, I will require the loo after a couple of hours. So
anywhere between Knutsford and Stafford I'll need to pull in.

There are a number of service stations in this stretch so does anyone have any recommendations or ones to avoid. We only need the loo, some green so the dogs can stretch their legs and access to petrol filling station from where we park.

Thanks in advance for your observations.

I, stopped at Knutsford earlier this year on the way back from Llanberis using the same route, there is space to walk your dog.

"M6 Stafford southbound nice stop and large grass area for dogs as long as you remember to clean up."

I prefer to use the A5, M54, M6,. There is a good picnic spot at Monford Bridge with toilet and cafe and caravan parking along side the River Severn, Telford services on the M54 has caravan parking but not so good for dog walking as Monford Bridge. If you choose to use the M6 toll the services on there are excellent.
