We arrived on the 28th September and for the whole week the sun shone only raining at night.  On our first day we discovered the cafe just round the corner on the side of the site two minutes from the caravan.  On entering the court yard we were pleasantly surprised to see all the little outlets. The cafe was very entertaining with cases of old items such as the old oxo tin and next to that an old packet of woodbines and much more.  You could have an entertaining time looking at these items while waiting for your meal.  The site was very large with an enclosed walking area for dogs and to the right of this walk was a lane which led through to the local pub called St. Peters Finger, again only a 10 minute walk with our dogs who were allowed in the pub.  The site had a wonderful shop which had everything from our morning paper to a calor gas bottle also television leads which we purchased to get a better reception as every caravan had its own television point.  The shop also sold free range eggs as it had its own chicken coup.  On the site was an old red telephone box which was turned into a library which you either paid a £1 for a book which went to charity or put your old books in.  The site was spotless and the amenities were very clean.  The site workers were very friendly and always willing to help and give advice, needless to say we will be back.
