Our last stop in Spain before returning to France has been Roses on the Costa Brava. We haven’t been here for a few years but it’s our fifth visit in the past eight years. Roses is a holiday resort and a working fishing port so it’s lively throughout the year. There’s a broad promenade that stretches along the bay finishing at the port and the headland. Even though it’s now October, we’re basking in late summer sunshine, and the beach and cafes are still busy.

We’ve met up with our friends, Jeanne and Graham, who are heading south as we head north on our homeward journey. Saturday afternoon on the beach, and a few glasses of wine to finish of the evening – you know the sort of thing, where time flies!

There’s lots more to Roses than just the beach: there’s the Dali connection; there’s nearby Cadaques to visit, and places and walks to explore. So here are a few photos of out stopover at Camping Joncar Mar.
