Epic Explorers - a kid's take
Epic Explorers is a new project set up by the Caravan Club to encourage children to explore the sites they visit, and enjoy the outdoors around them.
Ella and Amy recently joined in with the fun at the Clumber Park site.
Ella (8) will now describe how it went...
Caravan Club Cache is a bit like a geocache, but this version doesn’t require a GPS - so it’s more of a Treasure Hunt.
We did it at Clumber and it was fun, well organised and perfect for children most ages.
Finding the prize
When you enter the office of most of the caravan sites you get given a site map. On the back it has a clue.If you work out the clue it should lead you somewhere.Where you go there should be another clue.Repeat this until you have gone to 7 places and you have solved 6 clues. Now the 7th clue takes you to the prize. If you complete the clue last clue you will be rewarded with a prize.
The treasure
When you find the treasure you should see a box.Open that box to find your treasure. The next thing you need to do is find the address book and put your name and address in it.When you’ve done that you will have a treat sent to your house.
The thrill
When you are about to open the box your imagination goes wild trying to imagine what will be in there.
Hi5 wave
If you’ve seen the poster around the caravan club sight then you’ll know about this.It mentioned a young boy called Dani May aged 8 that won a competition from designing the hi5 poster. The poster should also mention that on Caravan Club sites drivers should go no faster than 5mph.
