Could searching for sites be any easier?

I've often used the website to find and book places to stay, it works well when you just want a club site. This morning I decided to try looking for a CL site reasonably close to Eversley by Basingstoke and it was a nightmare.

The facility to enter a postcode seems to do nothing useful and the system only gives details for a whole county. Hampshire is a large county and it only seemed to offer CL sites along the south coast.

The 'search by map' facility is flawed as it always takes you to a map of the whole UK and doesn't seem to show CL sites at all.

I gave up and used the Camping and Caravanning Club site instead. I was allowed to pinpoint where I wanted to be by post code and ask for sites withing 5, 10, 15, etc. miles. Worked like a dream.

Are we missing a trick or two in the Caravan Club?

    Another post that would surely be better off as a question in the forum, where it just might get a response from HQ ?

    Write your comments here...Hi Alison, you are (of course) quite right. I don't see any way to delete this 'story' or I would have done so when I originally noted your response a year ago. I've not reposted it in the forums because I've not used the site
    searches since and with the website constantly being updated, things may have improved. Thanks for your comment anyway.
