Hello all, yesterday was a good day for us - I set off with my Uncle to collect our (new to us) caravan, a 1996 Lunar Meteor (2 berth). It's in lovely original condition and came complete with a large Isobella awning and carbon fibre poles. The seller assured me that everything is there ready to roll for the princely sum of £1800. The van has been out in all the recent rain and gales without any sign of leaks or damp - I think we did rather well. Does anyone else have any views on this particular make and model? I'd be interested to hear from you if so.

Sounds like you've got a good outfit - enjoy your new hobby.  It's fun in the wet but better in the sun :-), the emocions are not working!

Let us know how you get on with your van. If you put the details down on the caravan section of the main forum you may find a few other owners step forward.

I've found a way to do the smilies on here, put the post on then edit, the smilies work on the edit bit.Smile

Well, the latest is that Shirley saw the 'van for the first time this afternoon - and she loved it (phew). I levelled it and put the legs down, then we took a good look around the inside to familiarise ourselves with it better. My uncle gave us lots of helpful
advice and guidance and thankfully, we have all the manufacturers info on everything from the previous owner. All in all, a good afternoon.

Towbar arrived today from Witter - that's a decent bit of kit mind, not going to bend or break easily. I'm going to fit it to the Skoda and let someone competent sort out the electrics as that's not my bag. Off to pick up the car from the dealer tomorrow
