FULL TIME MOTORHOME TRAVEL

Hello

I am Brian and my wife and travel companion is Deirdre.   We have led a somewhat unorthodox life in that after an early retirement we let our home and spent the next twenty five years - yes, twenty five - living and travelling full-time in various motorhomes around the world.

Thus we were able to travel extensively in Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and North America where we spent the last ten years crossing and re-crossing that continent from Alaska to Baja, Mexico, and from Newfoundland to the Florida Keys.  The profile picture shows us beside our old 70’s VW in California which we used to tow behind our 25 foot Winnebago motorhome and use for side trips.

Now age 75 years we finally returned home in 2010 England but just in case the call of the open road becomes irresistible have bought our 17th motorhome.   I have had travel articles and cartoons on the caravanning life published in magazine both in the US and UK.

If anyone is interested in hearing some of our adventures I would be happy to share them on this excellent site.  In the meantime the attached cartoon might prove amusing.

Happy caravanning to all.

We would love to hear more of your travels Brian, we have talked about crossing America & Canada but so far our family keeps us here as we are needed for childcare. Perhaps when all the grandchildren are older...fingers crossed !

Sounds fantastic, makes my journeys  feeble. Don't think I could  have managed 25 year but would love to have made some of the journeys you have done.
