SNOOPER TROOPER
I wanted the best in sat/navs a unit I could depend on, one that would take in the consideration of the height, width, and length of my M/H ( motorhome ), one I didn’t need to use common sense anymore or refer to a map, I already have a tomtom for my car and bike, but not for my m/h so, after reading what was available and the prices and as it was recommended by the Caravan Club I bought a snooper sat/nav and after keying in my specs I was all set for my trip, what could possibly go wrong, well………...
I thought it would be nice to go to Fairlight Wood, near Hastings as it was a favourite of my dogs it was nothing to do with the fact the Two Sawyers pub was on the other side of the wood, uhm, from where I live in Kent it would be quite an easy trip down the A21, well to cut a long story short...ish, the bl**dy sat/nav sent me right through Hastings in the rush hour still I put it down to fact it wanted to show me the scenic route as seen from behind a bus and a removal lorry.
Well I arrived in Fairlight Wood and received the best of welcomes from the staff as ever, lovely couple and continued with my well earned break, come the day of my departure on leaving the site the sat/nav told me to turn right, NEVER TURN RIGHT WHEN LEAVING FAIRLIGHT WOOD CC SITE, it is five miles of narrow lane ( about three country miles ) full of bends, admittedly it was wide enough for my m/h but nothing else, I had to back up three times to let drivers deliver their children to school, by that time steam was coming out of my ears and the air was blue with my vocabulary of certain swear words I’ve accumulated over the years, it could have been worse though I could have been in a caravan.
Since those memorable days I have used the sat/nav quite a lot and have learned not to trust it as with my other sat/navs over the years, when you enter your details don’t put down your actual details, lie to it, put down that you own an Artic lorry and like me you’ll be a SNOOPER TROOPER enjoying your holidays to the full, with no stress, driving on motorways and never having to drive in the countryside again, or through quaint villages, beautiful scenic views of the coast of England, but the added bonus is you’ll be amongst others who like me bought a snooper sat/nav and get to meet a lot of wonderful people, at lorry parks and greasy spoons.
Here endeth the first lesson.

I'm thinking of getting the Snooper Ventura Pro as on offer through the Caravan Club. Is this the one you've had trouble with? If not, has any-one any comments for or against it, also what make does any-one recommend as the one I've got doesn't show which
lane to be in - a nightmare at large multi-lane round-a-bouts in busy towns and cities for a 'country bumpkin'!!!0 -
Yes Collielover the very same one.
