Our first foray into caravanning
On Friday 1st November we took delivery of our new caravan (second hand one but as good as new) and the following Monday headed of to the site in Moreton in Marsh.
En route the jockey wheel slipped and intermittently caught the road making a terrible noise, fortunately I realised what was happening, stooped the car, corrected the problem and continued. On arrival at the site the booking in process and advice given was great and losing no time we found a pitch, manouvered into place using the motor mover and began to set up. Water container filled and in position, waste water container in position, great so far. Then the problems began - how do I get the water from the container into the caravan?? How do I turn on the electrics? How on earth does this new fangled awning work. After about 30 minutes of playing with the awning I decided that perhaps we should forget using that and try to get it back in the box. As usual my wife had an idea "why don't you ask at the office, perhaps someone would help." What will they think??
Thankefully there was no need to worry, promptly two of the staff came to our rescue. The water connection was found lying in the kitchen sink. The awning type had not been see before so I felt a little less embarrased and within 30 minutes the awning was up, water and heater working and our St Bernard puppy being made a fuss of like never before.
We had a great stay at this site which is an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. We are so grateful to the fantastic staff who couldn't do enough to make our stay and experience so good.
Thank you very much - we look forward to seeing you again soon.

It's comforting to know that the staff can help with practical difficulties such as putting up an awning.

That's the great thing about the CC, you feel there is always somewhere to turn for advice, I often use the clubs forums and have sorted many problems out with members hints and tips, I am coming into my third year of caravaning and loving it, still got
lots to learn though, would take me all night to list my 'cock ups' scuse my French, it's all good fun though!!!!!0
