We have just had a walk around the National Trust estate of Stourhead in Wiltshire. There's plenty to do there and all the usual facilities plus a pub. Throughout September there's the extra bonus of singing in the park on Sundays and you can hear lots of different acapella groups dotted around the estate. The Autumn colours are just starting and soon the park will be ablaze with oranges, reds and purples. On the photos are some views including Neptune in his grotto and an ancient Tulip tree. If you want to enjoy this place it's not far from the CC sites at Wincanton or Longleat and it even has it's own CL!

That sounds fantastic Brue. There are a distinct lack of NT properties close to where we live so we shall have to make best use of the membership when we are travelling. Regards, Roy

Thanks! I had to take the photos on my old phone, I have managed to make a huge lake look like a small pond but it is a beautiful spot to visit.

Stourhead is one of the best National Trust gardens that we have visited. It is beautiful!

The best is now nearly upon us. If you get the chance to go when the leaves turn, do it!

Take your camera. You will not be disapointed.

Me and the wife have named Stourhead as 'Our special place'
