Well the sun was out, the car was jam packed, and we were off to Devon, dropping my mum and dad off to pick up their new motorhome!!

They bought the Murvi at the NEC back in February, after much contemplation. My mum has just retired after a lifetime career of nursing and, although my dad’s still working, they will now have more opportunity to go touring the UK and Europe. That’s why they sold their old motorhome to get something a little more practical for longer trips.

Murvi are based in Plymouth so it was quite a drive for us, especially as there were major traffic jams on the M25 due to an overturned caravan! Once we got there we were given detailed instructions on how to use the motorhome and mum and dad bravely set off, just as the heavens opened!!

The pictures are of Exebridge Lakeside Caravan Club Site and Dunkerry Hill.

The verdict from my parents is, they absolutely love it and looking forward to the next trip!!

I hope they have many happy times in their new motorhome. That was us 12 years ago - we had just retired and upgraded our old motorhome for a Kontiki which we absotuley loved and had such happy trips both in the UK and abroad
