Where are the sites where you can launch your own powered inflatable boats
Last year we stayed at Houghton Mill Caravan Club site near Cambridge and thoroughly enjoyed our time there watching other campers launching their own inflatable boats and enjoying themselves, so this year we bought ourselves a 12ft Inflatable which can be powered or rowed and went back to Houghton Mill and had a fantastic time on the lake and on the River (we used the oars) this is a wonderful place to stay with plenty to do for both young and old (we being old) well recommended. Can anyone help us by telling us of other sites in the UK where you can launch your own boat and have the same enjoyment as we did at Houghton Mill, your response would be very much appreciated, Terry and Jill

Hi Terry & Jill,
I would post this question on the forum under the heading of UK sites & touring where I am sure more will view it and hopefully get some answers for you. I am confident not too many people read the stories section. Regards, Roy

We used to go to New England Bay with ours. Husband and sons had great fun with our inflatable with 15 hp engine, also caught lots of fish for tea.

We love Houghton Mill. We had a few days there at the end of June and have booked to go back at the end of August. It is such a pretty site and within walking distance of a lovely village with a good oub - what'snot to like?!
