TOAL
TOAL = Trip Of A Lifetime
Me and the wife have been on the road since the 1 Feb 2013, we are just getting some warm weather as we decided to visit coutries rather than just motor through and seek warmer climbs. + we have youth on our side, I have to say it I have never seen so many Grey Nomads, although the ones we ahve seen are now heading back home and are brown as buttons.
enven though we have visited 4 or 5 different coutries, our trip has included the 1st and 2 nd WW sites, F1 GP venues, The infamous Mt Blanc, Mattahorn and the scariest drives through the Swiss Alps, although it keeps you on your toes.
So far we have spent around £2500, this includes all expenses, fuel, site fees, food and wine. It has been well worth it and I expect more of the same over the coming months.
The van ( Fiat Bessacar - 2.2 D ) has been on the ball, we froze over a few times but came through without any hitches.
Time now to pack away the winter clothing and get out some warm weather gear, we cant wait. Heading down towards Barcalona a couple of weeks in Salou to meet our daughter then back on the trail down the south coast and into Portugal. If anyone is interested, the best part of the trip so far has been not seeing a single Brit, SO FAR I said, we are itching now to have a conversation with a few brits, catch up on the news, we have only had limited WI FI and no TV.
Anyway, to finish So far, we have been to some fantastic places, drank some strange beer and wine, tasted some good food and met some good european neighbours. Wil keep you posted, last thing, Im running out of Gas, any ideas I have heard it will be easy to change gas in spain but want to be able to have the option to change in different countries. we left the UK with 2 x Gas bottle (2.5Kg) they have been great on my second bottle now.
All the best RobnSha
