We collected our very first Caravan on 28 April 2011.  After a comprehensive handover we set off with excited anticipation to the camp site, booked for us by the dealers.  When we arrived it was time for me to try out my new reversing skills!!!  Which were recently obtained through attending a CC towing course.  It’s surprising how quickly one can forget.  The site was rather full and reversing proved difficult due to the space between adjacent and opposite units, or that’s how it felt.  However, help was at hand in the form of two, 6ft tall 15st lads who decide it would be easier to man handled the van into position.  Many thanks to them.

Hi and congratulations on your purchase. Yes reversing is a skill and one that i always have a go at when on site.I know i should spend hundreds on a motor mover but i like a challenge and with practice i am sure you will manage when no 6ft helpers are about.
Failing that its out with the wallet and purchase a mover as all those members who own one say, they would not be without. Enjoy your caravaning season.   cheers.

Thanks.  The rest of my trips went fine and even managed to reverse 50 metres along a country lane after missing the right turn to a CL site
