Am I going the wrong way?
Hello folks,
Well just after the New Year I am setting off for a trip to Poland. Planned the route, or rather the Sat-Nav did. Now here is what worries me: If you listen to the media and believe the bar stool politicians in the pub, it will be like a scene from "Midnight Express" in that I will be going the wrong way as thousands of Poles will be heading over here. I shall need to pay special attention to avoid head on collisions whilst I fight my way through the UK headed throng. I shall keep you informed of this challenge and I will pass on tips to those contemplating the same trip. As I used to drive a boat, there was always the opportunity to "follow a ferry" thereby taking the stress out of all that complicated navigation stuff. With all those Polish trucks plying the route, it will be a synch. I will simply find a good looking truck (dont want to be seen following an old heap) and tuck in behind till I get there. Yeah I know the view will be limited but the slip stream should save fuel and all those Poles coming the other way will have to get through the truck before they get to me. Simples chq
