we went shopping in our ford mondeo and came out after, car wouldnt turn over called green flag came out within the hour apperantley it was engine immobilizer.     fitter said il take you home collect both keys and arrange for low loader to take your car to ford dealers, great stuff.  i rang fords they made a job sheet out for it all this happened at around midday at 5-45pm i rang fords no car so i rang the recovery place was told the guy that organised it had gone home job had been passed over to nights.better check later i thought went back to isolated carpark you guessed it car still there got a feeling it was going to remain there overnight rang greenflag to complain they were there in ten minutes but garage was now closed they kept it overnight in a compound then took the car next day to garage but in process had mislaid one of keys but after a few hours found key its a good job recovery is local.the car had a what they call a fused battery but to change battery has cost me 176 pounds after labour battery and diagnostic the ironic thing is where i broke down ther was a motor shop next door  ............why oh why couldnt they traced a flat or fused battery got recovery right and not mislaid my key .......180 pounds if i had to buy another one.............. bad day at office     makes you think has as been said before by others what do we pay for

was with green flag mate, they are not up to the tasks the advertise, went with AA bit more exspensive but you get what you pay for.

Had same problem. Green Flag appointed garages tow rather than fix. If you want a tow thats fine. If you want more then its the tried & tested AA, RAC.

Hmmm. was going to change to Green Flag from the RAC on cost grounds, but now I think I'll stay with the RAC. Feedback like this is very helpful.

Just been looking at Mayday and noticed that the t&cs state that roadside repair time is <30m. Most others seem to offer <60m.

I called to check this and was advised thet the time used in practice was 'reasonable' ie up to the man on the spot.

As Mayday offer you £10 if over 1 hr initial response then the guys are possibly asked to minimise roadside to minimise slow responses!

Other features of Mayday seem good eg Dual Recovery (to and from site if not repaired in meantime) and may be unique in the breakdown business?

Still undecided myself so any other comments welcome!

You pay for recovery with green flag, try one of the other motoring services & you can expect a repair to your vehicle, kind regards.
