I'm afraid this is a request rather than a story.

Does anyone know of any sites or, preferably CLs, that are say within a mile or so of a railway station please? Whilst towing obviously means you have your car with you someties its nice to go out without having to worry about driving or parking and perhaps enjoy a beer or two over lunch whilst out exploring. I'm not too bothered about location as I'm very flexible.

i would appreciate any help please.

Cheers,

Tim

Moreton in Marsh is the first one that springs to mind. Also Haycraft in Dorset if you like steam trains.

We have always tried to be near a railway station to get around but try and combined with Park and Ride, we have a large motorhome so we have started ringing different Park and Rides and local council car parks.  Last car park used was Guildford Park 5 mins
from station 10mins to town, £4.50 all day with car and caravan or motorhome GU2 7NT Speak to Lee on 01483 444531 if your not sure. From Bladon Chains Woodstock, motorhome or car, Park and Ride at Water Eaton you have to ask the car park attendent to open
the barrier, (you have to be back by a certain time or you will get locked in) Use the Park and Ride to Oxford station.  Four Oaks at Henley on Thames, its a good walk but possible and have used this a few times.  Alderstead used twice since we have owned
the motorhome, taxi to Culsdon South costing £6.00 per journey and train to London (site rings for taxi for you if you want).
