As a keen angler i take my gear with me when going on hols and try and find lcal spots which are reasonably priced to (preferably free lol), but find when i arrive at a new site there is not much information about fishing in the information huts not even where the local tackle shop is. does anyone else find this and what are your views will be good to share locations of these places too think i will start getting business cards from shops and placing in info huts for anglers to see. There is more info for golf ,walking and cycle ways in them please lets have more for anglers as well ty

I do my internet searches beforehand. Tourist Info shops are not usually very knoweldgable. Sandisons book on Scottish Lochs very useful North of the Border and a little Internet searches can bring the info up to date. My interest is trout fly fishing.

Dont do fishing nowadays Mick but always used to look up local areas before hand, saves a lot of faffing around once your there.

Didnt mind driving anywhere in a 10/15 miles radius either.
