Got to be 35yrs ago we had a small caravan , i think an ACE sprite or Alpine, we were pitched at Hollands Wood Site in the new forest with our two daughters.

About 7 30am one morning we could hear a pony baying very loudly and on looking out of the rear window we could see a small foal in the ditch behind our van and it could not climb out, the mother was kicking up a right racket, looking down the field we could see a stallion running up, it took a look at the foal and then put its head under the foals backside and with a good heave tossed the foal out of the ditch, we could not believe our eyes, absolutely true.

We agree, the New Forest is lovely. Our profile picture was taken in a layby near the Black Knowle site in October last year.
