MY outfit is a 2004 CI Carioca 635 motorhome and we have owned  her three years. We bought her originally to avoid all the hassle of hitching, towing and siting a caravan, it as not disappointed we can have tea brewing and set up in less than ten minutes - we then sit back and watch all the poor caravanners trying to level and site their vans and then the struggle to erect the awning etc. Thank god we saw the light and sold our caravan. On average we visit CC sites 12 to 14 times a year, usually for 2-3 weekend days. We have found many CC sites we can walk intgo town in 5 mins or sites where we can take our retriever for great walks, so no probables there. Love to hear other peoples view on owning caravans then motorhomes like we did.

So you don't have to level a motorhome? And you think 10 minutes to get a brew on is good...And everytime you want to travel more than the '5 minutes walk into town' you have to take everything with you, packing all away before you go ... Caravans for us.

Write your comments here... On the majority of Caravan Club site one does NOT need to level.....most hardstandings are level. 5 mins to brew, if you like, how long does it take to turn the gas on or wire up the electric?  5, 10 or 20 minute walk, does it
matter? Keeps one healhty. Have you heard of a ''Bus Pass'' - would you use it, or walk, if you had your vehicle handy. I doubt it. Have you heard of being environmentally friendly? Have you driven a motohome, nothing like towing a caravan, modern ones drive
like a large car. My does 28 mpg, what does your tow vehicle do when towning? MOTORHOMES for ever - Adventure before Demintia.

I guess there are pros and cons but what puts me off buying a motorhome is having to move it when you go off sightseeing. I have looked at many motorhomes and the layouts seem cramped compared to my Bailey Senator which has lots of room to walk around.

Motorhomes... caravans.. pros and cons with each.

But the catchphrase 'Adventure Before Dementia'?

Pure gold. I'm stealing that one, thanks! :)
