Our visit July 2012

Site very well situated for A16. We stayed here for 2 nights en-route back to UK. We were able to select our own pitch, but the choice was small, pitches were small and would not accommodate our awning. All toilet blocks were open but reduced facilities. Staff speak good English, but we were not told much about the area, not even a site plan. Bread orders were taken at reception for the following day and paid for when collected. The play areas were not maintained with mole hills abundant. All grass needed cutting, bins needed emptying. We did like the fact that there was a nice walk along the canal which was just up the road from the site, where you could get a great view of the Cathedral in Amiens. We were pleased we only had 2 nights as we would have been really depressed if we had spent more time there. Barrier key to enter the site is needed at a cost of 20 Euros refundable deposit.

have used this site quite a lot (all be it just passing through) I fined it quiet and relaxing after a long tug up from the Loire/ Cher valleys

Would not recommend this site. Pitches uneven, wet, two toilet blocks closed. Staff were not very friendly, no info about local area volunteered. Didnt feel very safe in Amiens generally. Was accosted by a beggar outside the Cathedral. Just couldnt wait
    to leave.

Spent a week here touring WW1 sites. Clean and well kept, staff friendly.

Amiens a beautiful place, the floating gardens worth the effort although the area around the campsite a little seedy but security good.
