Bon Voyage - Off to France tomorrow in the Motorhome
Having been a Club member for a while as both a caravanner and motorhomer, I was delighted when The Club asked about following me on my next European trip to help dispel some of the myths and worries surrounding touring overseas.
I'll be honest, I was nervous the first time I went, especially the thought of driving on the wrong side of the road! But as with most things, my fears were unfounded.
So, tomorrow I am going on a motorhome trip to France and will be welcoming the cameras to join me, to show how easy it really is. If I can help just one other member overcome their fears and leave the UK to discover the wonders of touring in Europe, it will be well worth it!
I've got an early start tomorrow, setting off from home to Dover port and then across the Channel by ferry.
Thought I'd bite the bullet and join Club Together to keep a blog of my trip, so I'll keep you posted!
Love Vicki

Bonjour, hope it went well for you. We took our van for the first time to continental Europe recently, made lots of mistakes - didn't book a site in France, hoping to use a municipal, got late Chunnel to sit in car with dogs and take advantage of lower fare
for late crossing, train delayed, site was shut on arrival, drove around Sangatte looking for somewhere to stay etc (motorhomes just pitched up on the beach) Drove through six countries without a problem then 'crashed' the van while parking on our pitch in
Italy. Did a 406ml journey from Salzburg to Nancy in a day to reach a booked site on time! 4am start to get Chunnel home etc Now that's a trip! Lots off mistakes, great experience, looking forward to next year, doing it again but this time with planning! If
you ever get to read this do look in on the thread 'Famous caravanners', you did get a mention.0
