Buying an awning
So, having changed the ‘van, our old awning wouldn’t fit the new ‘van (of course)We spent ages trawling through Gumtree, ebay, CC Classified etc.
We nearly bought an ebay item which ‘needed a few repairs’, but we wimped out on that one, cheap though it was. Then on Gumtree I found one 20milesaway. I contacted the sellers as I didn’t like buying blind, to see if I could bring my ‘van over to them. They offered to bring the awning to our storage, followed us there and showed the awning fitted to our van. Job done, sale made.
What lovely people, thank you Andrew and Janice from Wakefield.
It just shows how nice caravanners are.

It just goes to show that there are a lot of caring & honest caravanners out there, as ever the fraternity comes through

we have just upgraded our caravan to a much bigger one so the awning is too small , as its only a year old I did some research and found that it is possible to have them adjusted , so our full awning is now going to be adjusted to a porch one , which is
what we were thinking of buying , much cheaper and a great idea , looking forward to our first weekend away with three grandchild and bikes included !!0 -
We too bought a larger caravan which our old awning did not fit. After trying to sell it & failing rang Bradcot who were so helpful & told us how to make our full awning into a three quater one. We had to purchase a pole & pad set but are so delighted that
we can once again use our awning.0
