PARIS - GIVE IT A GO!!
I own a 6.0m motorhome and quite early on I decided that I was not going to be timid and would go just whereven I felt like! I am a tourer by nature but see no reason why I should miss out on the big cities just because they can appear a little daunting. North of Paris but within the city (and in our Camping Europe 1 on page 465) is the excellent Camping Bois de Boulogne. Yes it's busy, yes there are statics but it is also beside the river and within a short walk of a bus stop to the metro. And shops nearby as well. So all pretty straight forward for a few days in Paris. My picture is of my motorhome outside Notre Dame. (Actually I do admit to one European city where I will NOT drive anything and that is Turin; there always seems to me to be a bit of confusion about whether you stop at a red light or drive through it - and whether the other drivers at the green light understand that!)

I would not want to drive in Paris. On the two occassions we have been there we have used Camping Four Vents which we reccommend to others. It is near Disney, Fountainbleau and trains to Paris and the owners are very helpful, they even rang their bank and
sorted out a problem with money for us.Drivers in Turin do obey red lightsbut only if a policeman has his gun pointed at them.
