HAving just returned from 8 days at Bunree site all I can say is wow wow wow. The site is immaculate and well kept and the wardens are brilliant and very helpful. To anyone who hasn't stayed here I would say consider it. We have stayed here at Easter and just last week came home Sunday 10/07. First of all to get here you will mostly come the route we did and its a route not to be missed one of the most beautiful drives you will be on with the applecross route beating it to number one. The site sits on the banks of Loch Linhe but the view you get is just amazing no matter what pitch you are on and trust me its a lovely site to wake up to that view every morning and watch it as you are putting your blinds up or down on way to bed. For me this site does something to my heart everytime I come here it just pulls me in more and more that I can't get enough of this site and view to the point I came home and booked right back up for our anniversary at end of August. This site is great if you just want to chill and relax but it is also a great place for basing yourself if you want to see more of the local area. As you will know the last couple of weeks the weather hasnt been too great well the it was the same last week with either low cloud or heavy rain but we didn't let it stop us. In the 8 days we were there we done the gondola at nevis range and I guarantee it's a great thing to do and the view from the top is awesome, this same day we also drove over to Mallaig and I have fell in love with this wee town too and I had the best ever fish and chips from the 'tea garden cafe' and would highly recommend it. We also as preparing to head home we waited and watched the steam train come into the station. We also went to the most westerly point in mainland Britain to see the ardnamuchan light house and then got on the ferry to Mull had some lunch and a wee look about and then got ferry back and went to see Sanna Beach hubby got some amazing pictures hard to believe these beaches are in Scotland they look as good if not better than some of the carribean beaches. We also took a drive around Loch Leven and it was a nice drive would have been better maybe if rain stopped but in my opinion in this area it doesn't matter what the weather is like as you will always get beautiful scenery wether it be raining or sun splitting the trees. There is a lot more you can see and do in this area and when we go back will definitely be doing more. One night we went to the Inn at Ardgour which is where the corran ferry drops you off at other side and I have to be honest and say for me the food wasnt very good quality but the Onich Hotel does good food. Since we got into carvanning now in our 4th year we havent left scotland yet and when you see views like this you can understand why but hopefully that will be changing next year. I can't rate this site highly enough and I hope if you havent tried it you give it a go but just be prepared especially on the west coast of Scotland be prepared for rain and you wont be disappointed if it does rain but ypou could be lucky and get the sunshine.

Pleased to hear you had a lovely holiday, Loch Linnhe is a very attractive area to visit. Have you had a go at putting photos on here, it's not too difficult if you resize them smaller before starting to add them. You have to wait for the first one to load
before adding another. Anyway, nice story, good luck with the next plans!

We've just returned from a stunning CL between Oban and Bunree (No. 2030 in handbook) with stunning views up Loch Creran. Yes, the weather has been lovely this last week on the west coast of Scotland but it didn't spoil our visit either - at least the wee
    beaties were kept away!
