Hi seemed like a good idea last year when my wife and I decided to travel around Europe in a caravan, two well three problems had to be overcome! First we did not own a caravan, second we have never been caravaning before so knew absolutely nothing about it, third no tow car!

Having  been a regular e bay user for about five years thought that's the best place to start looking, so early November I spotted a buccaneer Caribbean advertised, , as I said I knew nothing about caravans but the advert and pics got my attention, so we set our budget on what we thought was a good price going on what other vans had sold for, unfortunatly we were outbid, so back into the search again, when the buccaneer came up again, so rebid and hey we only won the auction,

i seached the local area for storage and found one locally, at the time we owned a pug 3008, so I trotted off to Southampton to collect, not realising at the time the 3008 is not suitable to tow this van.!! Ops,

With the van safety in storage I set about reserching all about caravaning, that was how I realised 3008 defiantly no good!

AS I write this we are sat onsite just north of Le Rochelle, having been here for three nights, although seems a lot longer,it's been a rapid, very rapid leaning curve, with huge lessons learned over these past cpl months, will cover those in my next post.

The reason we have decided to do this trip is so my wife and I can concentrate on getting my father in laws books published, and this gives us the time to concentrate on this.

Im writing this on iPad and it seems you cannot load pics, so if you want see pics go to   Facebook trevorstretch
