I was merrily paying my standing order to the National Trust, when I thought, hold on! The next time the renewal comes I shall cancel and see what happens. I cancelled, and not a word was received.

I mentioned this to my freinds at the golf club, and then one of them said, '' have you told them your a pensioner''. I said that I hadn't and would I get a discount. Yes was the answer. Why didn't they do that automatically as they have all your details, I said.

Well it seems you have to cancel your membership and then reapply as a pensioner, the n you get a discount.

It would be nice if the CC would give an age concession also!

Last time I looked you didn't see the 'pensioner' discount on the web site and you had to phone up. We did!

Didn't have to cancel existing membership when I became eligible for pensioner rate.  Just rang them up and they adjusted the amount going out their end and sent me a new card with senior on.  Kept same membership number.

Can anyone help me? I'm thinking of taking out membership of the National Trust and see from their website that car parking is often free. Can anyone tell me if that applies to a motorhome? or is it just cars?

    Cheers!
