My husband and I are loving being a member, but wish the pitches were bigger, our first stay was  at Borrowdale, wonderful setting, amazing!!! What a pantomine picking a pitch, the site is set in woodlands, we tried three pitches it was impossible to get the van sited, bear in mind my husbands a class one HGV driver. Fourth attempt, yeh were on, put the awning up which just fitted on. On opening the awning door you had a four foot drop on two sides, you park the car on other side which was a cats whisker from touching the van, impossible for passenger to get out.  A man came and positioned his van for the pitch next to ours? My husband laughed said not a chance, then the man unhooked the car and used his motor mover, WOW definitely need one if we are to stay members.

Hi Janet.  We wouldn;t be without our motor mover.  My husband also had an HGV licence for many years and there are some pitches that even he couldn't position the van on without the mover..  If you get one just make sure that you always, always DISCONNECT
it immediately after using it.  It could be disastrous if you try and drive off with it still in position!

Hi there, we would not be without our motor mover I also was a hgv driver. If you do go for one have a look at the Power Touch mover they give a 5 year warranty we got a new van and a new mover in November the mover was just short of a £1000 not cheap but
    a first class product.

Borrowdale is a lovely area; we haven't been to that site though as our van is longer than the size limit there.  Also another thumbs up for PowrTouch motor movers, should you consider getting one - almost invaluable for our twin axle.  Ours failed in reverse
on one side on our recent trip to France.  On Wednesday I made a call to PowrTouch who, after assessing that I could fit a new control unit, sent one to our site in France.  It arrived the following Monday, fitted easily and worked!  Great service, would recommend.

Borrowdale is one of our favorite sites and yes some of the pitches are a little tight but thats part of the charm being pitched between the trees up in the small cul de sacs. Cant wait for the opportunity to go back again soon
