Just a 'Blip' in the Weather

After a few weeks of lovely weather, the whole of France is facing a weekend of yucky weather.

Here in La croix Valmer

we've had sunshine

Just right for the beach. However, the skies have turned grey and the wind is getting up. The only person swimming ( orange flag flying) this morning was a life-guard, while his partner kept guard on the beach.

There was a bit of excitement at the jetty when a film crew set up their equipment, and a tall elegant model appeared for a 'film shoot'.

All the onlookers, us included, wondered if the crew hadn't read the forecast or whether they wanted the dramatic effect of the waves. The model got a bit of a shock when a wave shot up through the planks!

We retreated to our campsite, where Cath managed a swim

before we battened down the hatches to await the storm.

We're not alone here at La Croix: Trucker4steve is up on the top row ( thanks for the books), and Boleroboy (and Mrs B) are just next door. The rain has started so here we go for a night of 'Ourages'.
