Changing Profile Picture
I recently changed mine to show the CT logo on clothing - and have changed it several times before - HOWEVER trying to get back to an old picture used before I cannot get the change to happen - I must have tried almost a dozen times - is it me or is there
a glitch in the system. I have also tried another picture used before?

I can't quite work out the picture at the moment but it doesn't look like a dog to me - looks like it might be a bird??
Once you load the picture Pippah, it might be a good idea to clear your cache memory. That way, the laptop/ or whatever device you are using will load the up-to-date picture from the CC servers. If it's not a glitch in the CC system this might solve your problem - it could very well not display the correct picture because what your device has in it's cache memory. Try clearing the cache.

Apologies if I am telling you things you know already, but this may help some understand what is going on.
In order to help pages load more quickly, devices such as laptops, computers, phones etc have something called cache memory. Essentially this consists of bits of information which your device collects, noteably (but not exclusively) graphics/pictures. When you load a web page, to help a page load quicker, it loads the information you have on your device (the cache). if you are all seeing different pictures, it is basically what your device has loaded into its memory to help the pages load quicker.
If you press ctrl + F5 this will force your cache to 'refresh', therefore you will essentially be asking your device to reload the website from scratch for that particular page. However, if you want the device to reload all images from scratch on all pages you visit, you would be better off by going in to the settings and doing it manually. THIS website explains how to do it. Each browser (I.E., Firefox, Safari etc) has it's own cache, so scroll down on the website link for the one you use.
Hope this helps someone - apologies if I am 'showing granny how to suck eggs' - Also apologies if I have simplified things a little.

Pippah45, I see a dog.
I have changed my avatar, meet Tammy, sadly no longer with us
I still see the photo of yourself TG. Don't really want to clear my cache, as I'm worried what I might loose.

I couldn't see it til I cleared the browsing data, it wouldn't update on F5. Looks like a nice old pal you must have had TG.
When I clear the cache/browsing data I have to reset the printer and lose a few settings but it doesn't take long to reset things. It speeds up my pc too.

She was lovely Brue, a rescue dog at only 5 mths when we got her. We had her for almost 17 years. Thought we had lost all photos of her as OH couldn't find any on his computer but I found this one I'd printed out, so re-scanned it in.
