They have and they are the ones to deal with them. It's best ignoring trolls, alter egos and people who deliberately bait others

This forum doesn't pick and choose who can post on CT ,(unless they ban you), so we have people who have different opinions on subjects which we have to accept to keep the flow of the forum going

There are caravan forums i know of that do pick and choose the members who can join ,and wonder if that makes for healthy debate if all the members are all like minded????

Members having differing opinions on a subject should not be a problem on any forum. Light hearted banter and interaction with other users is for me what makes a good forum.Wink

I’m sure TF is not advocating that we shouldn’t voice our personal opinions, as long as we don’t get personal or force them onto other members.Smile

Excellent post, Nevers. This forum succeeds (notwithstanding the ongoing IT problems) because the vast majority of members feel able to continue posting their views despite the small number of others who resort to petty insults and then turn things round
by accusing others of doing just that! In spite of their cheap jibes the forum continues to be overwhelmingly a positive and friendly place. It's also good to have met so many members in person who confirm that view. Happy

But it is worrying that one or two who have been previously banned have emerged again to stir up trouble. You can usually spot them by their phraseology and by the way that, despite appearing new, they immediately lay in to others who don't share their view.
You would think they'd bide their time first wouldn't you? Wink

Write your comments here...Yes M that's something that has been happening for a good few months now. The small number is just around five.--- If they would just accept that other single poster's opinions are as relevant as their own combined opinion,  there
would be no need to mount their combined attack on anybody,  this could be a much happier and relaxed forum.

How do we know who these five are who are mentioned in such derogatory terms? Is the term the 'five' just another label for folk who just have a different opinion who some have difficulty understanding their standpoint?

How would we know if someone has been 'advised' to take 'time out'? Has anyone ever been banned? Do folk actually receive advice about their disregard to the T&Cs? Only those who it may have happened to will know and surely they
wouldn't want to advertise that fact would they?

Thankfully I haven't a clue about such things but it may be that some are crying wolf or hiding behind crocodile tears because they themselves have been involved in such unsavoury behaviours
    and received the appropriate 'advice'!

I've come to the conclusion that this five is a myth. Who are they, what do they stand for, what do they advocate? Can't say I've noticed any five really who stand out. We have in the past had some who perpetually used derogatory terms like 'pitch blockers',
'loop hollers' and 'something for nothings' who had difficulty understanding the rules but since they have seen the error of their ways this has thankfully stopped.  All in the past I think! Keep smiling everyone!Happy

Ha Ha -- I like the humour. Laughing Just so I can help those with a number 5 fixation  Happy

      Solution

If anybody is having a problem with the numeric 5 ------- I'll be changing it to numeric 6 --- easy, helpful and probably more accurate after the last few days. Smile

The number tends to be a bit fluid anyway depending on the Thread subject.

    Cool
