Congrats must be due to K, starting a thread that has links to another forum, at least it has turned into an interesting thread! Not quite sure which section is right for it now though, home or abroad!

All the time members agree then its fine ,but if someone has a different view then you seem to be marked as a trouble maker,
What sections are you referring to, Husky?

Write your comments here...Thank you for your congratulations. I like to give credit where credit is due, hence relaying information to Navagateur about a site for his perusal which has produced a good way of displaying latest posts.
It is not my intention to recommend one forum over another, I usually leave that to others, as everybody is different with different tastes.

You are a Europhile AD, Francophiles like/ love France, your horizons are much wider!
Going to be pedantic now, title should be ARE there, not IS there! Just maintaining standards!

I've found identifying new posts is straightforward. Start at the top with "Discussions". Go through each section in turn and threads with new posts are highlighted in red.

A bit like the former painting of the Forth bridge as when you get to the end you have to start all over again!

MT, what a rather pointless post. Just because a few of the avatar names of members are shared between the two forums, doesn't mean that both sites don't have lots of other members, some who post quite frequently, others who don't post very much. The two
forums are rather different, bound to be given that one is very much part of a much larger Club, while the other is independent. Both serve a purpose in the larger world of touring forums. Nothing much wrong with either, or at least there won't be once CT
gets its upgrade.I am sure most discerning CT users will make up their own minds if an alternative forum is of interest to them or not. Negativity is one of the elements that caravanchat forum lacks, make of that what you want!
Write your comments here...TTDA all I am saying is if its the same people one each forum posting they will have the same opinions whatever so I fail to see how one forum wold be different to another except for teh functinality. I am not saying you cannot
belong to different forums but someone was promoting CT as different but in my mind it looks the same content wise.0 -
Chalk and cheese, Michael.

Hi eveyone could we please try and get this back to the OP subject ie "Is there too many sections on here" refering to Club Together.
Personally I think that it is important for the CC to continually review the different sections to ensure they remain relevant and used.

I don't think it really matters how many sections there are, when the new Forum is unveiled I think it will be different to the extent that so many will be dropped, so many amalgamated, so many new ones. I certainly think their will be something in it to
lessen the more combative threads/posts.0 -
The Sections on the CT Forum have gone through a number of changes since the forum began, and each change has taken into account comments made by members. The latest set-up has worked very well for a while now and most members seem to be reasonably happy with the current arrangement - although as we all know, it's impossible to make any forum perfect and its impossible to please all of the people all of the time!
I have some sympathy with the point made by Kennine in the OP. The Champions do our best to make sure posts are in the most relevant Section and that does involve moving posts. I know this sometimes causes comment from some members, but would appeal to everyone to help by considering which is the best section for a particular topic before starting it.
MichaelT - sorry, but I have Deleted User the list of "New Topics" you posted for the other Caravan & Motorhome Forum I am involved with, as the links in the list were all "live links" and I was concerned that may have affected CT.
Cheers

Yes because we are caravanners we dont always have the same opinion. It would appear that to some that if somebody posts an opinion different to theirs, it is shocking and deemed combative.
Different opinions are the lifeblood of any forum as by reading other peoples views can be educational.

That's a good idea!!!!......So, when that is done and the whole site is marked in red as 'New' do you read the whole website?
It doesn't always happen that way...only about 50% of the time for me!
It's a bit like spellcheck and smilies....it doesn't work!

Write your comments here...Thanks J,, one of the problems with this forum is that a user cannot edit the title like they can text in the post when a mistake is noticed after posting. Still it was good to see who the pedants are so the mistake was not all bad
