Thats interesting. I wonder it the liker might appear overnight? I will highlight this thread to admin to see if we can solve the mystery.

Tammygirl, if you click on club together at the top right of the page, then scroll down, this will take you to the latest activity, here you will see who has posted the latest post, review, like, etc. You can also back track to see the latest history ....

This has been happening for a very long time, as have other CT forum foibles. What is curious is that the frequency of them seems to wax and wane. I wouldn’t expect any explanation. A) It’s the week-end. They never have in the past. C) I don’t think they
have a clue.0 -
In my view there is nothing wrong with having a like button if you are in agreement with a comment that has been made. It saves on duplication of posts. What is wrong in my book is that adds to a points total so you sometimes have to question whether the
action is done for a genuine reason.David

Thanks Brian, just late night forgetfulness

That's true David, so if we had a dislike button we could have a serial disliker. It's a pity points are gained for likes unfortunately it's just an occasional person who makes a mockery of the system.
Write your comments here...I'm just requoting so as not to tick the like button but now I think about it just posting about liking or posting has the same effect! Oh bother, just forget it, Brue.

I would love someone to explain to me honestly what the big thing is with the 'likes', a few times a year there's a thread about 'likers' & their habits-why the vitriol, why the anger?. No one gains from them & no one loses. I just don't understand it

Don't we need agree and disagree buttons if we have like/dislike ones? After all you can 'like' a post for lots of reasons without necessarily agreeing totally with the content! My belief, like K, is that we don't really need any buttons at all, just words (Or no words)!

I believe that many "like" a thread to boost their stars, and post inane post for the same reason. Would be better if star points was issued by how many likes your post receives.
A solution I have proposed on a couple of occasions in the past.

Would be better if this Whole Star Nonsense was done away with altogether, IMO a childist reward.

If I like a comment I click like, didn't realise you got stars for it, personally would have thought the person who gets the like should be the one to benefit but as its only stars if someone wants mine you can have them. I mean the stars mean nothing, you
could have someone post continually in a thread like two word story or the others to do with film or songs to gain stars if they so wish but actually contribute very little to a discussion. I prefer to see what someone has to say, as many a post I've read
has confirmed someone might have plenty of brightly coloured stars but it doesn't mean there necessary worth taking much notice of.0
