Anyone else have problems with access? Sometimes the url selected is hanging and I am having to refresh a page to get it to come up and sometimes it is very slow to complete the page.

Its not been right since the Club tried to restore the site to normal after booking day.

Yes happens to me occasionally. Sometimes have to close the browser down totally and start again.

We are on infinity and the only site that tends to be slow and freeze is this one

Thanks, that rules out my web access and service provider then.

Sounds about right for this site - Their IT dept just cannot get it to work properly.  Never fear, there's always a workaround...

I often find that this forum hangs when changing pages. Mind you I use powerline adaptors and they sometimes lose contact with the router/modem and I have to switch it on and off at the socket to get the adaptor back into life. I have often wondered whether
the combination of the forum and Chrome have an effect of the adaptor but surely that can't be the case, can it?

I have had a couple of similar problems recently David but only with WiFi access around the house. My desktop is hard wired to the router and has not exhibited similar problems. Like you I have cured the problem by re-powering the router but in my case I suspect the problem lies with the router which cannot handle IP conflicts to which my attention is being drawn.

I think the Club web sites tries to do something clever by leaving data on your PC to control what will happen next. Somehow, it doesn’t keep up and then hangs or gets in a mess. My solution is to clear all cookies and browsing history. It may be have something
to do with the way I browse, sometimes having more than one window open on the site but, either way, the software ought to be able to deal with that.

I thought it looked more liike requests to the Clubs server failing because if you repeat the request 99 percent of the time it then works.

I'm much the same Peedee, sometimes I can access CT easily, other times it takes several goes to send a reply or move around the site.

I used to think it was just the Club site that went slow, but I've noticed others behaving similarly recently. i'm on fibre, so have to assume that it's contention or a server weakness.

We're not on fibre or any sort of fast broadband, CT is the only site that doesn't work consistently.

Even with fibre, if the demand goes mad then your speed will  slow down, It's probably in your T&Cs.....Cool
