How long you staying. 3 miles to Loggerheads Country Park and walks. Moel Famua nearby to drive up to base of and walk up. Easy if fit.  17 miles just outside is greay museum in nice parkland I believe (not walked the land as spent over 4 hours in museumDenbigh http://www.50smuseum.uk/cdhome.html

12 miles to Chester P&R, 15 miles Erddig National Trust

Depends how long you ae staying

The reviews sound OK but no idea how long you are staying or if alone and any dogs

I have read the reviews and they do sound good. We'd be there for 4-5 days and would have our dog with us, of course.Wink

Ah yes, didn't see your dog on the avatar. Maybe too far away but https://www.pontcysyllte-aqueduct.co.uk/

There's loads to do in and around Mold Nellie.  Is that the CL near Treuddyn?

Great part of the world and most people just drive through

I've quite a few walking books that encompass the triangle between Mold, Chirk and Llangollen so I'll drop them into you when you're in the area. The walk from Llangollen to Cruccis Abbey is particularly nice in good weather but this might be better if you're
staying at Chirk or Corwen. There's also some good walking from Loggerheads, either up Moel Fammau or low level to places like Cilcain.

Let me know the dates you're around and I'll pinch a glass of red off you.

That's a great thought, and you know you're welcome to a glass of red anytime we may meet up. Still to get round to sorting dates out, but will let you know when all fixed up. Cheers!!Wink

Will have to update my avatar sometime with his picture in a more prominent position.

We've stopped at the CC's Chirk site so know Pontcysyllte well enough.

If you or the family enjoy wandering round street markets the high street in Mold is closed to traffic on a Wednesday for a fairly big market. There are quite a few small cafes

Thanks, Nuggy. Not made up our minds yet, but should know more by the middle of next week.
