Welsh tour - CL recommendations required
We are planning to tour the Wesh coast North to South next year and are looking for recommendations of CLs near to the coast. wirh good access for an 8 meter van towing a small car. Hardstanding would be nice but we do not need electrics or other facilities.
Ideas from experience are welcomed.

I would second Hillcroft as at the time I thought it was the best site I had ever stayed on but another one that matched it is The Meadows at Bryncrug near Tywyn.

Thanks for at least one. Looks like not many use CLs in Wales. peedee
As we live just 2 miles from North Wales, we do use Welsh CLs, and I would have helped if I could, but an 8m motorhome towing a car is a pretty large outfit for Welsh roads.
I've been to some great CLs in Wales but my memory of them has so far been narrow lanes and gateways or tight turnings.

Thanks Ian, perhaps I should be avoiding them then. Must admit the ones I have looked at in NW have not been that accessible. Using the Club's App I have come up with a list of 47 that claim to be suitable for motorhomes but of course the only way to check access is using OS maps and Google Maps.

That's what stopped me recommending sites to be honest peedee, the size of your MH, and possible narrow country lanes. Not a CL, but we were recommended a lovely little private site Llaniffyn Farm, down near Gower and Swansea. Part of Premier Sites network,
really really nice site. Spotless showers and loos. We stayed last November and only paid £15 for a serviced pitch. Likely to be a bit pricier if Summer. I have done a full review and posted photos on Caravanchat website.0 -
Not a CL, but if you have youngsters in tow, Clubs Tredegar House site is very good. Plenty of walking , cycling and space for games adjacent, and loads to do in the area. Very good fast roads out to different places. Could be pricey depending upon time of year, but they could possibly have some economy pitches without ehu?
We are not huge fans of Club Sites, but this was nice.
At the other end of Wales, Beddgelert Camping in the Forest remains one of the very best places to stay in the whole of GB. Pricey, but very special location.

We would love to have you but our lane has a tight bend and with your outfit would require a lot of negotiation and would be difficult. However, you could check with our neighbouring CL Llainfran as I think they could do it. We are in the most beautiful area, in Cardigan Bay between New Quay and Llangrannog, a little piece of paradise and not really 'discovered' by the masses.
