No, CL's are for club members only.

Confirm that CLs are for CC members only and any CL owner accepting non-members runs the risk of losing their certificate which would mean one less CL available for members.

If they paid in cash and answered to the name on the membership card, how would anyone know? Wink

Ah! so a non member cannot give his opinion then - sorry Embarassed

    Moderator Edit:

This was not so much your opinion as a non-member but more an encouragement to a member to break the rules, both of which are totally unacceptable.

The OP could be also read that the member wants to bring a friend with him when he(the member)stays on the site.....

I took 'book in' to mean the guest alone would be staying. Clarification would be good.

Perhaps the OP would care to clarify for us.

To clarify: I was just wondering if it is allowed under the club rules to let a caravaning non member stay on a cl if they were accompanied by the member. I have no intention of breaking any rules, in fact posting this question in this forum shows that to be plainly obvious. I believe that non members can stay on caravan club sites so why not cl's.

Yes, as long as the member is present, he/she can have non-members with them, just as on CC sites.

Pleased to have that one cleared up, as I have been taking my grandchildren along for the past 17years. I just never gave a thought to the fact that they were not members.Innocent

It is still not clear to me whether the OP’s is asking: A) If the guest can stay with him in the Members caravan/MH or B) if he wishes the guest to be able to stay in a separate caravan/MH.

My answer to A) would be Yes and to B) No.

Not all CC sites admit non members

I think it would have to be a member and his/her caravan/motorhome booked in to and staying on a CL, with a non-member as his/her guest staying with him/her.

    A non-member in his/her caravan/motorhome would not be permitted on a CL.

Could become a very grey area if a MH was towing a caravan although I suppose it could be regarded as a single "rig".

Hi the way i see it is the OP is asking if a caravaning friend or relative can use his own van on a CL if he is using the CL at the same time.Which is not allowed as we all know, on some Club Sites there would be no problem but the owner of the other van
would have to pay none member rates. If he means can they stay in the van along with his family then no problem with that either.

It is still not clear if the op is asking if a non member is staying with the member in their van or is bringing their own van,?

1   non member allowed in members van as long as member also present

2   non member cannot stay in their own outfit on a Cl

Undecided What this debate shows is, that in the first place the question must be fully understandable, before a definitive answer can
    be given.Undecided

The non member would be bringing his own van. Now from a previous post by JVB66 it seems that this is not allowed under the club rules. Thanks everyone for your input.

Thank you Surefire for clarifying what you were unsure about. Unfortunately, your friend will either have to find an alternative site or perhaps he/she might consider joining to be able to stay on a CL and the many other 'member only' sites in the future.

    Many Thanks.

£48 is not even a decent meal out unless you like Wetherspoons.

Don't knock it. I had a steak lunch at the Weatherspoons in Port Solent last week. Best steak I've had for quite a few months and it was only. My companions had a variety of main course dishes and the bill only came to £45 including drinks for the one course.
