Have just found the following CL price structure.

EHU + Toilets £7.50 per night

                     £6.00 per night OAP's

Food for thought.

How old was the advert and what are todays prices. If still the same would go to the top of our list.

So a nightly income of approximately £34.50 (3x£7.50+ 2x £6). Not exactly a sustainable business model.

Looking forward to seeing where it is, Harry, once you've booked it, of course, and reading your review of the site.Wink

I dont Mind paying £15 to £18 for a fully serviced pitch, if it increases tthe pleasure of spending more time doing the things you love doing then its all worth it :)

Maybe at the moment. But by the time the costs are factored in they must be close to running at an actual loss.  Maybe they enjoy cleaning a toilet?

It is different to a situation of a basic CL which offers nothing except a tap and somewhere to empty your toilet.  That has almost no running costs installing ehu and a toilet means that it does.

Boff - it's going up to £12 (£10 OAP rate) in 2017 so I'd say you are right

Both CLs in this location do an OAP rate

The reviews for the site give it 5* and even at next years prices it looks like a bargain.

What would you say is a typical price for a CL with toilets and showers in late July?

Don't think that the month has much to do with the cost, Ian, but we don't go over £15 pn at any time of the year. We do use the non-facility club sites in the summer, too.  It's just a matter of choise.

The Camping & Caravanning Club give a reduction for over 60's sure it wasn't one of their CS's?

No it's definitely a CL.... Bolton Hall, No.272 in site directory.

For some reason it does not appear on the "Search by Map" facility. Strange.

    Does this price include electric?

We are quite taken with the idea of CL's with reservations, but would like to pay what would be a fair price, considering the small size and possibly more intamate relationship with the site owners.

That's what it says in the book and on the web site. Perhaps will be able to confirm in the not too distant future.
