Tidying up CL Search

I am sure that there are other regular CL users that find using the search engine rather a trial at times. One of my issues is that when you put in County name, list includes dozens and dozens of archived CL names. These links lead to nowhere, and are just
cluttering up this area of the search unnecessarily.

Would it be possible for the CL/IT team at HQ to have a go at removing these names, and clear this area, perhaps having a separate "archive" list?

I am sure that it would be much appreciated by some of the regular CL users. Thank you in anticipation of any help with this.

Here's hoping that the promised new website will address this very issue (and more besides).  The new website was slated to be launched in June, but there's little sign of it yet..

I have absolutely no confidence that we shall see the long promised improvements CGSad, not for a good while yet anyway. But chipping away
at small issues will hopefully make things easier!

If you look in the latest magazine, p96, in the details of the April Club Council meeting there is a lengthy statement about social media. It says the club has learned a lot from Club Together and a new team had been formed at Grinstead House...I hope the
team are alive and well and we can look forward to lots of improvements soon!Smile

There's also a similar problem when one looks at the list of Nearby CLs at the bottom of each CL's web page. Some that are listed there only come up with the Error message when one clicks on them. These are ones which have closed. I have already sent an
e-mail to HO about them, as has AlanGL7, but nothing has been done about them, and all we've received is the standard response from HO.

I can't get the CL search to work at all when I select a county it just goes back to please select and the town is n/a. Is this an ongoing problem or might it be fixed soon? Or am I doing something wrong????

SANDS, have you tried to use the Search by Map facility? If you type in a town or city in the area you want to visit and select the CL option then search the map will show all the CLs in the area that you are interested in. By enlaging the map each individual
CL will be highlighted and you can then select the ones  that you might be interested in.  Hope this make sense.
