Casually looking through the 2015/16 site directory today I spotted what I consider to be a worrying error. A CL, listed under Huntingon, is shown as being 15.4
E of the town, but reading the directions it becomes obvcious that the site is infact West
of Huntingdon. This would appear to put it nearly 31mls from where indicated. If members had been looking in the SD for a site around the area of it's actual position they would not have spotted it in the book, so a site owner could well have been
missing out from potential customers. What I'd be interested to know is who compiles the SD and who checks it for errors such as this? I guess it is the reponsibilityof the CL owner to check his listing, but who got it wrong in the first instance?

I have noticed EAST and WEST being transposed many times in all sorts of directions. Never trust them!

We know a local CL owner whose information (relating to the use of awnings) was printed incorrectly in the book. It was then amended in the CL section of the magazine twice, both times still incorrect. Even though the owner had rung in and told them
how to correct it.  We always confirm that the details are correct with the owner when booking.

There are some glaring mistakes in the SD Nellie. New CL on Oxford last year was actually miles away from location on map!

There are so many errors, ie directions, locations, prices that we use CLs less now than previous. Its time owners and the club got a proper grip. No reason for web sites to show 2023/14 price etc.

I have just looked at New CLs from 1st May and found some glaring problems, little blue markers missing and one which is near Thurso is showing south of Aberdeen and another showing in the Eastern block.
