SandieG , I'm just about to vote, and out of interest I wondered if site owners are notified if they have any votes, and is it possible for members and owners to see the votes cast for each CL?

    Thanks, Oakapple.

I second that.  I would be so chuffed to know if just one person liked my site enough to vote for it!
    Surprised

As it currently stands we are given no idea of how many votes are cast in total or how many votes the winner or any other site receives.

We would love to know too, loads of our customers say they vote for us, the C&CC send their owners a rosette if they are  nominated.

I find this really difficult.  Most CL's I have stayed on are a brilliant.  How can I compare a really tidy CL with no EHU in a really remote area which costs £5 to a CL with toilets, showers etc near a town which costs £14.  I would feel guilty voting for
only one when there are so many fabulous ones I have stayed at.

It is hard Tracey as we are not voting for 'like for like'.  Our choice is made on the basis of a great site with lovely owners and the fact that we make 4 or 5 trips a year there due to the location which is great for wildlife spotting and walking on the
great expanses of North Norfolk beaches.  Yes it's subjective.

I'm still getting "webpage unavailable" after I click on vote now. I'm still trying to do this on my tablet which may be the problem. Will have to try again on the PC when I get home and hope for better luck! Sad

Some sort of acknowledgement like a rosette sounds a great idea Barleywood. It would certainly give owners some encouragement.Happy

    hello Oakapple and Barleywood

I have had a chat with our CLs Dept who have said that providing details of voting to CL owners is something they could consider for the future.  They also really liked the rosette idea and will take that forward as a suggestion for next year.  A CL of the Year A3 poster is being produced which all CL owners can display in their information rooms or on a noticeboard to remind visitors to vote  thanks for your suggestions which have all been passed on   Sandie

The problem with voting for your best CL site is there are only 5 pitches and when you spread the word that you go to the  best ,thats the end of booking that site easy as everybody  wants to go there.
