Following all this horrible weather I hope that all the CLs have missed being flooded out, although I do expect that some won't have. I do wonder if Claires at Stranraer, Low Glengyre Fm,
have been affected following Storm Frank.

Yes, do hope our CL owners are ok and haven't suffered too much.

Let's hope after all the storms we get a really good spring and summer. Smile

Wouldn't it be nice if every member household tried a new CL next year? Show CL owners lots of support and thanks for their efforts! Perhaps won't suit a few, but I am sure lots of members who have yet to try a CL would be very pleasantly surprised how different
they are, and how welcoming. We tried at least a dozen new ones last year, enjoyed them all!

Quite agree. If you have not tried a CL you don't know what you are missing.

On the flooding issue so many CL owners are also farmers and probably the CL is the least of their worries. Or so one farmer told us when he rang to cancel our booking at one day notice as he had been flooded.  When I told him not to worry he told me he
was more worried about the fact that he had to find a home for his herd of cows as he had nowhere he could put them. There must be a lot of CL owners out there in similar situations and my heart goes out to them and all those who have lost so much in this
    terrible weather.

Mrs ips and I have a c&cc Cs, were still open but we now have an ornamental lake taking up a third of the field and one HS which is at times under water. No major issue as not many bookings over the last few weeks

Lovely idea ttda, we tried 3 new CL'S this year, all good and ones we hope to revisit. Have been looking at CL'S in Suffolk for next year, but have also decided to visit one of the flood hit areas this summer, probably Cumbria, they will need the tourists
    and support.

We can highly recommend the CL we stayed at in Cliburn, near Penrith. Views and wildlife to die for, only £9 a night, with EHU! Won't suit all, no facilities other than a toilet, and all grass, but we thought it was stunning! Had no issues with our MH, even
in wet. Easy to get out and about from as well, and good dog walking.

If you take a look on the Caravanchat website, I have left a review and a couple of photographs. Review on here as well, but no photos. Contact me via Rowena if you want my email address! Happy

Sorry, it is the one called The Station House. I think there is another in Cliburn as well.

We've done our share of CL's this year, 45 visits with 34 of them being new to us. Doubt we'll manage as many new ones this coming year, but we will try our best.Laughing

We only manage 3 or 4 short trips a year but I already have our first CL picked out for this year - we have yet to return to the same one (not because we didn't like them, just lots to choose from!)
