It's the weekend before Christmas. All the shopping and wrappings done so we decided a nice weekend away on a local CL site was in order before the madness of next week. On site, all set up and all alone! Where is everybody?

We were going to book Skybarn this weekend but family problems meant we had to forget it.

Looking for possibly sometime in January.

We should have all got together and organised to be on the same CL and we wouldn't be alone then! Welcome to Lincolnshire Nelliethehooker when you arrive. Hope you enjoy your stay. Are you familiar with the county? If not, ask away, we're locals.  Smile

Thanks ADD. We've been in Lincolnshire a few time but never where we're going next week.....Riby for 6 nights. Any where/thing about there that you think we should definitely go and see? We too are going to Skybarn, but have stopped there before, so am familiar
    with that area.

Nelliethehooker, Riby is a bit too far north for us as Lincolnshire is a big county. A good place to go this time of year is Donna Nook, the seals are ashore giving birth and rearing their young. It's on the east coast near North Somercotes.

We are out and about as well, but a lovely little private site for us, which isn't likely to be busy, I think we were 1 of 4 this time last year. All mod cons and free wifi for a tasty £16!

Very jealous of you all. We don't have electrics so would be a bit chilly for us to use the caravan during the winter. Hope you all have a lovely time.

We've got gas hob but I wouldn't really fancy using it as a heat source.

If you find CLs too lonely, you could try staying on a club site or go on a rally.

Some club sites are very good value for money now that the festive season is over.

Its the only time we can afford club sites.Off to Lady Margaret in a few hours. The weather has curtailed our usage of the van over the last 2 months, bit hopefully back to winter normal now.

We paid £188.50 for two of us for 13 nights here at the Caravan Club site in Gatwick which works out to £14.50 per night. We have 16 amp electric hook-up, toilet block, laundry facilities, club wifi etc.

Write your comments here...Malcolm, can I ask, what on earth you are doing on this thread? It's rather like posting on Overseas sites stating that you're having a great time on UK sites or vice versa. Can't understand what you're actually doing so maybe
    you could enlighten me.
