Hi All,

We've just placed an order for our 1st Motor Home to be delivered on March 1st. We are complete newbies having never camped or Caravanned. Nothing like jumping in at the deep end. We intend to use the MH mainly for trips in the UK but for our main Summer holiday we will taking the Van to Saint Emilion near Bordeaux. There is just the 2 of us and our Dog Murphy. We haven't yet joined the CC because we don't get our Van until March, but we will deffo join mid February so we can book sites for the new season.

Whilst I'm posting I can't get the spell checker on the forum to work every time I click the SC it comes  up with a error message?? Is this just me or a common problem.

Welcome, you will find nothing works on here so don't worry about the psell checker

As for joining the CC the bookings for next year are released in December so if you are planning on visiting at peak times or particular popular sites you may want to join ASAP to take advantage.  If you are fleexible where and when you want to visit a site
then you can normally get in somewhere.

Been to St Emilion a few times, lovely area.  If you're going to La Barbanne, then they used to run a minibus to St Emilion.  But it's not that far to either walk or cycle there (and back).

    Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum. Like Ina we have stayed at La Brabanne, I think it might have changed hands since we were last there.

Unfortunately becoming a member won't make the spell checker workSmile

Have a great time. Remember all 'new vehicles' will have bits that need sorting out so hopefully you can build a good relationship with the dealer you bought from
