    Shocked to read this.  Apparently she has had a short battle with cancer.  Sad news.  R.I.P.  Victoria Wood

    Shocked to read, what a brilliant writer, actress etc.  Will be sadly missed - RIP

    I've just been told and I'm sorry to hear this sad news.  I wasn't aware that she'd been ill. She was such a talented lady and so funny.

    A brilliantly inventive woman. Life can sometimes be absolutely bloody unfair. I shall miss her wry observations on life.

    Such a shock. Incredibly sad news. She was such a talented, funny lady. Absoluely loved her. Another great talent gone. This is turning out to be such a sad year  - so much talent lost.

    Brilliant comic, cleaver lady, gone far too soon.  Really loved everything she did.  So, so sad.
