Really sad news, I remember watching him in Crackerjack and listening to his shows on the radio.  RIP. "Stewpot"

I was on his Radio 2 Quiz twice in one week in 1994. He was  a lovely man putting me at ease by chatting before the actual questions and also after the quiz had finished. Still have the publicity signed 'photo sent after my'appearance'.

RIP Stewpot - a super alround presenter & entertainer.

Loved  listening  to  Stewpot  on  his  afternoon  show  !

He  played  a  decent  cross  section  of  music  but  always  gave  "Lighting Up Time"  at  about  3;20 or  so  ==  this  alone  brought  a  smile  to  our  faces  as  it  got  later  and  later  by  about  two  minutes  a  day !

R.I.P.   Ed  &  as  ABBA  sang  "thank  you  for  the  music"
